The colour, fun and excitement of KiteFest is returning again this year with more entertainment and kites of all shapes and sizes to fill the sky on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2024.
Redcliffe KiteFest 2024
The Redcliffe KiteFest features a program bursting with fun activities, roving performers, water shows and live entertainment for both young and old making it the perfect day out for any family.
Kite Flying at KiteFest
The main attraction at the Redcliffe KiteFest has to be the beautiful kites that fill the sky. This year the world’s best kite flyers will be flying their creations over Redcliffe . Kites flyers from Malaysia, China, New Zealand and Australia will amaze the crowds with their stunts and majestic kites, which will include some of the world’s biggest kites. In addition to the kites, the sky will also play host to an aerobatic display daily.
This year you will also be able to make your own kite to fly in the sky . The kite-making workshops will operate daily and there will be experts on hand to show you the tricks of the trade as you fly your kite in the public kite flying zone. Kites will be flying each day from 9am – 4pm.
Kitefest UNISC Kids Zone
The Kitefest Kidz Zone is an area just for Brisbane Kids featuring free and low-cost activities just for kids. There is also a dedicated Kids stage in this area which features several children’s shows.
KiteFest Main Stage
The Main stage brings together a showcase of the best artists from around South East Queensland. This year the main stage will feature a range of local artists who will have everyone up and dancing. A highlight for all Brisbane Kids will be Paw Patrol appearing live on stage in their very own show as well as JJ from Cocomelon.
Aerobatic Displays
There will also be a once daily Aerobatic display! Watch as a classic aircraft effortlessly loops, dips and zooms through the sky.

*Showtime is subject to change pending weather and air traffic control clearance.
KiteFest Kids Karnival Amusement Rides
KiteFest rides are always a highlight at KiteFest and this zone features rides for young and old. This year there will be more rides than ever before with something suitable for everyone from the littlies to the ultimate thrill seeker. Tickets must be purchased for the rides.
Redcliffe KiteFest Markets
KiteFest boasts an amazing food court featuring everything from delicious snacks and coffee to gourmet food stalls. There are also hundreds of market stalls for the whole family to wander through.
