Competitions
When Brisbane Kids runs competitions, we often need to receive personal information, email addresses, and physical addresses. We will not share your information as part of entry unless you have explicitly opted in, or as a winner when we need to pass this information onto the sponsors to allow you to receive your prize. By entering a competition you automatically become a member of Brisbane Kids although you can opt out at any time. If the competition app fails at any time, the competition will be withdrawn and Brisbane Kids will maintain the right to choose whether to conduct it again.

Except as described below we do not share your data with any third parties and will not do so unless we are instructed by a legal authority.
We do work with some third party software to provide services to you that may include the delivery of newsletter, search engine optimisation services and information to assist with targeted advertising. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. If you make a submission by way of comments or voluntary submission this information may be retained indefinitely. You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you at anytime.

In addition, we have additional protections on our website to ensure the integrity of our website including Sucuri Security, Anti Spam software, Cloudflare to block any external attacks on our site and an SSL certificate. In the event that there is a data breach, we will contact our technicians immediately to ensure all actions take place to protect data depending on what sort of breach has occurred.
