Mulbeam Park is lucky enough to have several play areas within the one park and all largely visible from one another, which is handy if you are visiting with multiple children of varying ages.
The main play area is a timber, fort style structure which has a transport theme. Your Brisbane Kid will find a map with reference to the nearby roads with moveable cars, a dash board, car servicing area, two slides, bridges, a low abstract climbing wall and an opportunity to get noisy on a music making board.
The small play area, designed for toddler, is covered by shade sails and not far from the main play area. The fort has climbing elements, a slide and a little tunnel. Rockers and a nest swing is positioned beneath a gum trees, along with a toddler swing and standard swing.
A fully fenced liberty swing sits nearby to these two play areas.
Slightly further away, but still visible, is an obstacle style exercise circuit suited to older Brisbane Kids and adults.
Mulbeam Park Sporting Opportunities
Along with the play areas, there are plenty of other ways to get active. The full-size basketball court, is always popular. and it even has the markings for three pickleball courts, just remember to BYO net, paddles and balls.
Take advantage of the double sided rebound wall to practice your ball skills and sharpen your reflexes.
A fully fenced dog off-leash area, with shade, picnic table and obstacles for your furry friend can also be found nearby to the play areas and toilets.
These facilities provide a buffer between the play areas and the roads as they are unfenced. There is also plenty of flat, grassed areas for kicking a ball or setting up stumps for a game of cricket.

The car theme at Mulbeam Park lends itself to games involving vroom vroom, beep beep and races. Little cars running on empty can even have a service and fill up with petrol at the low-to-ground play panels complete with petrol pump.

What We Thought of Mulbeam Park
The spacious and shady Mulbeam Park is great for our family, as one child likes to play on the play equipment and the other likes to kick a ball, play cricket on shoot some hoops.
As a parent I love that there is plenty of trees and space so families can set themselves up in the shade of a tree with good access and views of the whole park. A toilet on site is also a big plus.
