  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to do…

Whites Hill Reserve Playground

Last updated: July 19, 2023

The fully fenced Whites Hill Reserve playground is a mega park bound to entertain families for hours. Set in Whites Hill Reserve, this playground offers a large nature exploration area as well as a wide variety of play equipment for Brisbane Kids of all ages.

White Hill Reserve playground

Child swinging on flying fox at Whites Hill Reserve Playground.

The older kids will get their adrenaline going on the 35m double flying fox where they can race one another. There is a large 360° spinning disc which is not for the fainthearted; expect to feel dizzy after spinning in it.

The climbing nets which lead up to the crows nest are for children of moderate ability. On the other side of the climbing nets is a large slide to zoom down.

There’s lots to explore for the little Brisbane Kids. The sandpit and water play system, swings, bouncy rockers, three-way seesaw and spinning buckets will keep your little one busy.

The sensory section has things to twist, spin and bang on including drums, two pipe/xylophone instruments and other interactive boards.

Bike run with bumpy corrugations and mounds at Whites Hill Reserve Playground.

Bring your wheels as there is a good network of flat paths to scoot or ride on. There is a very cool bike run with speed bumps to roll over.

Two small slides built into a hill which has climbing steps provides a fun challenge. One of the small slides is wide enough to accommodate a couple of people.

Stepping stones in the nature exploration trail at Whites Hill Reserve Playground. The nature trail with stepping-stones to jump between is perfect for nature loving kids who enjoy inventing their own games. In this part of the playground there are many large trees where birds can be seen and heard; keep an eye out as sometimes koalas can be spotted in the eucalyptus trees.

Picnic shelters and BBQ's at Whites Hill Reserve Playground.

For those staying longer, there’s multiple covered picnic tables and electric barbecues. Throughout the playground there are lots of bench seats, low platforms and block walls as well as grassy areas providing plenty of places to rest or have a snack.

This playground is part of the larger Whites Hill Reserve. Check out our detailed review on the 171- hectare Whites Hill Reserve.

Imagination Factor at Whites Hill Reserve Playground

Brisbane Kids will be able to spend hours in this playground playing and exploring. Smaller children can get creative making some castles or digging for treasure in the sandpit and water play area. The small slides and climbing wall is great to pretend you’re mountain trekking.

The nature trail is a fun area to search for leaves, twigs and rocks to make nature inspired art. Or simply relax under the large trees while looking up for birds and native wildlife. For the bigger kids, racing friends on the flying definitely gets the heart pumping.

Accessibility at Whites Hill Reserve Playground

Bank of swings including seated swing at Whites Hill Reserve Playground.

Whites Hill Reserve playground is all-inclusive with many options for people of varying abilities. The Sway Fun Glider, support seat swing, nest swing, hammock and low-level sensory equipment are all inclusive. The pathways throughout the playground make for easy wheelchair and pram access.

Although this playground can get very busy, the nature trail is a peaceful zone to relax away from the hustle and bustle. The inclusive sign language billboard is a great resource helping Brisbane Kids to communicate their play experiences in sign language.

Five disabled parking spaces are provided next to the playground along with accessible toilets.
