This lovely little seaside playground is a climbers paradise with awesome water views. It’s location, not far from the Manly Boat Harbour, lends itself to picnics, leisurely walks and lots of family fun by the Bay.

Bayside Park Playground

Brisbane Kids who love to climb are going to be impressed by the amazing climbing net at this Brisbane seaside playground. It is not only challenging for a one off climb but will keep the kids coming back again and again.

HMAS Manly, a ship-themed play structure, will delight little boat lovers who can climb, crawl and slide all over it. For a bit of extra fun there are two swings and rockers in the playground too.

While Bayside Park is not a huge playground, its location by the Manly Boat Harbour makes it an ideal place for a play after a picnic, walk or maybe even fish and chips.

Aside from the playground, there are plenty of fishing opportunities along the bank, while pathways along the foreshore are great for walking, scootering and biking fun.

Imagination Factor at Bayside Park

The seaside theme ensures a lovely adventure on the ocean by wannabe pirates. For the more adventurous climber you could put some pegs on various spots over the climbing frame and let them try and take them from the net.

Lots of river stones are available along the shore to make pet rocks and use for other fun craft, building or adventure activities.

Accessibility at Bayside Park

Bayside Park has modern accessible toilet facilities with concrete paths for access. The pathways which run throughout the park are flat and continue along the waterfront, which always makes for a lovely walk.

Bayside Park is not fully fenced, so extra care should be taken when visiting with multiple children, runners or those with sensory challenges.

What We Thought of Bayside Park

Bayside Park is a climbers dream, especially for primary school aged kids or confident climbers. The little ones will enjoy the swings, rockers and making the most out of the low-to-ground ship play structure.

We always enjoy a nice walk along the foreshore before or after a play (there is just something so calming about being near the water). Checking out the boats nearby is also good for some post-play entertainment.
