The expansive nature of Mt Cotton Community Park is a major drawcard, offering almost limitless play and exploration opportunities for Brisbane Kids.

Mount Cotton Playground – The Fun

This is a great park at Mt Cotton for the Brisbane Kid who wants lots of choice. The awesome brightly coloured play equipment is sheltered by a shade structure and features multiple climbing and balancing opportunities, slides, bridges and nets. On top of the playground equipment, there is a large lake with a sizable barbeque area (in fact, two barbeque areas), expansive grassy fields to run around in and a dog off leash area. The Mt Cotton Village Community Park also features many concrete paths for riding bikes, a skate area and a basketball half-court, so there is literally a whole day’s worth of entertainment here for your Brisbane Kids.

Imagination Factor

Even the smallest Brisbane Kids can have fun here playing in the grass or making sandcastles around the playground. The main play structure has several ideal look-out posts and a bridge that invokes fantasy games of houses and ships. The abstract shapes and bright colours of the play area leave play completely open to the interpretation of your Brisbane Kid. The grassy areas are perfect for kite flying and cloud watching.

Special Needs

Mount Cotton Playground is not fenced. The major play equipment is situated under shade structures, with some unsheltered. There are many shady and grassy places to find your own space. There are bike and walking paths that are suited to wheelchair and pram use.  Barbeques, shelters and bench seating is located in many spots for public use. There are wheelchair accessible toilet facilities within the park. The carpark is located off Bohemia Court.
