A fantastic all abilities playground for Brisbane Kids, Logan Gardens Park at Logan Central has something to hold every family member’s interest – a playground, water play, sporting courts, green space and picnic facilities.
Logan Gardens Park playground
Logan Gardens Park playground is nestled in Logan Gardens Park and is not your usual mega playground but rather an expansive space for unstructured accessible play. There is beautiful nature play elements and opportunities for Brisbane Kids to swing, spin, slide, balance, climb and explore.
This Logan playground is one of the original all-abilities playgrounds; it sits 100 metres away from the Logan Water Park which is a more recent addition to the Logan Gardens space.
The wider space of Logan Gardens Park offers some great paths for walking and bike riding, along with barbeques, picnic areas and wheelchair accessible toilet facilities. There is also a basketball court, a bocce court and a takraw court for those who like a ball game.
Imagination Factor at Logan Gardens Park
The integration between built and natural environments here will encourage Brisbane Kids to climb and explore the natural world from new perspectives, whilst the treehouse with koala sculptures will encourage imaginative animal play.
There is a climbing net and spinning elements here too that could have Brisbane Kids imagining themselves as spiders in webs or exploring the rigging of a ship.
Accessibility at Logan Gardens Park
Accessible toilets are located within Logan Gardens Park. Many areas of the park are sheltered, with mature trees and shade cloth shielding young skin from the sun.
Barbeques and sheltered picnic areas make this park ideal for a family day out and a great choice for birthday parties (but bring togs and towels on warmer days). Much of the play space is designed to be accessible.
There are a range of swings over soft fall including a nest swing, belt swings, a toddler swing and a high-backed swing seat for visitors who need the extra support.

What We Thought of Logan Gardens Park
The play areas are centred around the Logan Water Park so if you are visiting on a warmer day, be prepared for your Brisbane Kids to want to get wet.
We loved the natural elements including the sandstone blocks and stepping and balancing logs that twist up the sides of hills and between the roots of trees, blurring the boundaries between the natural and built environments and adding a real sense of whimsy and fun.
We thought the space felt inviting with a climbing net and a play treehouse structure which has climbing walls, a slide, bridge and lower-level activities perfect for tiny hands.

I took my two children this morning to this park. Age 3 and 18 months. They both had a lot of fun, the park had a lot for both of them, it is hard to find a park suitable for little ones. The down side is the parking even tho there is a parking lot it was full, but there was next to no one in the park.
