  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to do…

Eridani Park at Kingston

Last updated: November 4, 2023

If you are looking for a spacious park filled with endless opportunities for nature play then Eridani Park is the perfect place for Brisbane Kids to explore and adults to enjoy the tranquillity.

Eridani Park playground

Play fort with sand base and covered by shade sails at Eridani Park.

The playground, which is mostly covered by shade sails and is perfect for small Brisbane Kids. There is a fort which contains opportunities for climbing and then of course sliding.

Cute animal springers (koala, cockatoo), sound tubes and play panels can be found in the play area and are a great source of entertainment. The sand base is perfect for building soft sculptures, bridges to run across and drums to play for kids who enjoy sensory play.

Other equipment which is just waiting to be climbed upon and swung on is a nest swing, roundabout and a little climbing structure which is designed to look like a tree stump, in keeping with the natural surroundings.

For more nature based play, if playing in a dry creek bed, hopping along stepping stones, balancing on logs, climbing boulders and pumping water is your thing, you are going to love Eridani Park!

Flying fox and basketball court in the background at Eridani Park.

For bigger Brisbane Kids who like a ball game there is a full-size basketball court, a volleyball and takraw (a kicking version of volleyball) court. Or, fly through the air on the flying fox when in need of an adrenaline rush.

The covered picnic tables and large sandstone blocks are great when it is time to sit down for a drink and snack. There are electric BBQs if planning to stay a bit longer.

Imagination Factor at Eridani Park

Dry creek bed and nature play with lots of trees at Eridani Park.

Eridani Park is wonderland for creativity, nature and sensory play. Brisbane Kids can collect leaves, twigs and rocks to make nature inspired art. Add water from the water pumps and make bark/mud pies or sand sculptures.

Making up a counting game or choreographing a dance while jumping from one balancing logs to another would be fun for kids who enjoy movement.

Accessibility at Eridani Park

Covered picnic shelters and BBQ's at Eridani Park.

Eridani Park has accessible toilets and designated parking. Unfortunately, this is an unfenced play space. There is a ramp and path running from the carpark to the park.

Trees provide natural shade along with shade cloth, but some parts of the park are still unshaded depending on the time of day. There are bench seats and covered picnic tables throughout the space.

Eridani Park features

  • Unfenced playground
  • Accessible toilets
  • Base – sand, softball, bark, rock
  • Shade cloth in some areas
  • Swings and basket swing
  • Rockers
  • Sound tubes
  • Fort with slides, climbing nets, steps
  • Dry creek bed and nature play area
  • Water pumps
  • Flying fox
  • Basketball court
  • Volleyball and takraw court
  • Sheltered picnic tables
  • Electric BBQ
  • Opened green space
  • Accessible parking

What We Thought of Eridani Park

Water pump in dry creek bed at Eridani Park.

Eridani Park is an absolute treat for Brisbane Kids who love nature play. Making rock sculptures under the water pumps and then pumping water over them was super fun! We also loved the stepping stones, drums and the flying fox.

How to Get to Eridani Park

Eridani Park is located on Eridani Avenue, Kingston.
