Shaftesbury Scooter Park is a great track suitable for riders of all levels. The more challenging section is excellent for increasing skills and confidence and is a wonderful place to expel energy and enjoy some fresh air.
Shaftesbury Scooter Park
Shaftesbury Scooter Park has a variety of basic tracks for beginners and challenging slalom slopes for more confident riders. This slalom design scooter track is the only one in Brisbane.
The flat areas suited for beginners include speed humps, obstacles, gentle hills, rocks and directional arrows. More confident riders will love the moguls, downhill slalom slopes, bends and hills to get their adrenaline pumping.
There are directional arrows to keep all riders travelling in the same direction as parts are multi-directional; this provides a great opportunity to talk about road safety to younger riders.
The greater Shaftesbury Park has much more than just the scooter track which makes it an awesome location for a morning (or afternoon) out.
In addition to the scooter track, there is a basketball hoop and half court, a playground perfect for Brisbane Kids who love to climb, a fenced dog park, covered picnic tables and BBQ. It is a lovely spot to spend a couple of hours as there’s also lots of green space to run around, kick a ball or shoot some hoops when needing a break from riding.
Imagination Factor at Shaftesbury Scooter Park
At Shaftesbury Scooter Park, Brisbane Kids of all ages will enjoy this one-of-a-kind track. Gaining confidence on wheels, trying new things, setting new challenges, weaving through obstacles, timing for a personal best, zooming down the slalom, racing against themselves or a friend will be just some of the fun Brisbane Kids can have at this epic track.
Accessibility at Shaftesbury Scooter Park
Unfortunately, this is an unfenced space, but there are accessible toilets. A path runs from the carpark to the scooter park and connect each section of the park.
Mature trees provide natural shade along with shade cloth, but some parts of the park are still unshaded depending on the time of day. Bench seats and covered picnic tables are dotted throughout the space with plenty of street parking available for those visiting the area.
