If you’re returning from a holiday or day trip in the Scenic Rim area, it is well worth calling in to Jubilee Park in Beaudesert to stretch the legs. This expansive park caters for children of all ages, including teenagers, providing hours of outdoor fun.
Jubilee Park – The Fun
A spot under the shade of the towering Bunya Pine trees in Jubilee Park Beaudesert is the perfect spot for a picnic. Alternatively, there are several sheltered picnic tables too, along with electric barbecues and toilet facilities. Younger children will enjoy the swings, slides, fort and spinners, or they can bring their bikes and scooters to ride on the concrete pathways that meander through the parklands.
A bridge over a waterway, complete with ducks, takes you to another playground at Jubilee Park, designed especially for teenagers. Appropriately named the “Teen-Rager”, it provides a place for teenagers to chill, as well as physical activities to test their skills. One example is a balancing activity on a mock surfboard. Teenagers will also enjoy the skate park and the basketball half court.
A third smaller playground can be found across the road at the Lions Bicentennial Park. The Beaudesert Library and the Beaudesert Swimming Pool adjoin the parklands, should you wish to make a day of it. The park is also situated opposite the Beaudesert Fire Station, so children can watch the comings and goings of the emergency services vehicles.
The only downside to this park is that all the play areas are exposed to the full sun – make sure you pack a hat, sunscreen and water.
Imagination Factor
With a number of different play spaces and plenty of parkland to explore, Jubilee Park in Beaudesert offers children the chance to let their imaginations run wild. A game of “billy goat gruff” on the bridge, a physical challenge game on the “Teen-Rager” or some make believe “fire-fighters” play, inspired by the nearby fire station are just a few examples.

Most of the facilities at Jubilee Park Beaudesert can be accessed via flat concrete paths, making it suitable for wheel chairs and prams. Toilet facilities are available in the park.
