Some Brisbane parks are designed with fun in mind and Glindemann Park at Holland Park is one of those gems. The best part about this Brisbane Playground is that it caters for big and little Brisbane Kids.
Glindemann Park playground
You will find Glindemann Park off two different roads, one-off Logan Rd and one can be accessed via Lawn Street. It doesn’t matter which way you go, as you can access both playgrounds from each other as they are just separated by a small gully. The first playground situated towards the Logan Road end is designed for bigger Brisbane Kids. It has the most amazing web-like climbing structure, a slide, an awesome spinning spaceship and 5 swings, including one with body harness.
Glindemann Park also features another playground better designed for little Brisbane Kids with the wonder of a wooden cubby house with all the fun of bridges and ramps for pretend play and to fire the imaginations. You can also expect to find swings and a slide and a few other fun features.
Bring their bikes if you like and a basketball for some fun in the basketball half-court. There is also a skate ramp-type structure as well as a couple of exercise stations.
Accessibility
You will find easy parking on both sides of Glindemann Park and while it is not fenced it is also a reasonable distance from the road to be too much of a worry. It is a lovely shady Brisbane playground with a great network of paths linked across the gully and in most places, right up to play equipment. This is an extremely popular park and so if you are planning to go there to celebrate a birthday we suggest getting their early to save your spot. The picnic tables and BBQ’s on the Logan Road side have recently been upgraded and there is one shelter on the Lawn Street side.
If you are planning to take your kids there for lunch we recommend packing a picnic blanket in case the shelter is occupied so you can enjoy a nice lunch on the grass or on one of the low lying benches. It is overall a shady park and does feature accessible toilets.
