With North Lakes’ growing population being primarily made up of young families, it is no wonder that parks and playgrounds like the fantastic Aurora Boulevard Park are springing up everywhere.
Aurora Boulevard Park Playground
The playground at Aurora Boulevard Park North Lakes is suitable for both big and little Brisbane Kids (and even your family dog.)
For the younger children there is a separate play area which includes a motorbike rocker, cubby house, truck play unit and 5-way swings, which are covered by shade sails. The older children and confident climbers haven’t been forgotten with a massive climbing net to scale, though this area is not shaded.
Other fabulous features of this park include large grassy sports fields, outdoor fitness equipment, a skate ramp, basketball half-court and a dog off-leash area. Electric barbeques and sheltered picnic tables are also available for use, as are public toilet amenities.
Imagination Factor
The awesome climbing net allows for lots of imaginary play at this North Lakes playground. Whether it is used for escaping giant spiders, climbing to the top of the rocket or whooshing down the slide, this play equipment is perfect for slightly older Brisbane Kids. Younger Brisbane Kids can play truck drivers on the smaller play equipment or use the cubby as a shop, house or café. To slow things down, some children may prefer to laze on the hammock and daydream or enjoy some cloud spotting.
Accessibility
Aurora Boulevard Park now has unisex toilets which are wheelchair accessible. The playground is unfenced, on a bark base and is partially covered by shade sails. There are bike and walking paths suited to wheelchair and pram use around the play areas. Picnic tables and electric barbeques are available and are mostly shaded.

Hi I live at North Lakes and after moving from Springfield I feel that North Lakes has a lot of catching up to do in regards to the quality of their parks. There is still not one park where I can take my 3 kids – 4yrs, 3yrs, 1yr, where they can all have something to play on plus toliets??? its as if they believe kids dont need to go the toilet. Not to mention the lack of car parks at the majority of the parks in the area as well as shade – shade why do kids need shade HA!
The response I got from stocklands was – there are plently of walking paths oh and they stated how many parks they have but so what have 200 parks but when there isnt ONE that caters for everyone and everything whats the point.

I agree with Nicola. This park is only great for little kids if you live within walking distance as there are no toilets. I have never understood building a park with no toilet facilities.
