Backing onto the White Rock Spring Mountain Conservation Estate, Grande Park at Springfield Lakes features a huge, completely fenced playground, sporting facilities and learn to ride track all complementing the beautiful, natural surroundings. There is even a nearby off leash dog enclosure to keep the four legged family members happy too!
The playground at Grande Park
It’s no surprise Grande Park has become a favourite destination for Brisbane Kids as the fully fenced playground gives parents and carers ultimate peace of mind while not compromising on fun.
The play space spans across the lower section of the parklands and includes a toddler playground and a taller, more advanced playground for the big kids.
Slides, forts and climbing
All the usual equipment, such as swings, slides and bouncers, make an appearance alongside some more exciting, modern inclusions like the climbing fort which connects to the larger playground.
In the centre of the playground is a tandem slide set into the side of an artificial mountain, providing a great opportunity for shared and competitive play. There are also climbing nets, a rock climbing wall and a unique spinning structure to engage children of all interests.
Traffic Tracks with road markings
Another popular feature is a small learn to ride track complete which traffic lights, signage and road markings.
The track is located near the joint basketball, netball and soccer court and has plenty of nearby bench seating for supervision. There are also some lovely recreational pathways which lead from the picnic shelters, through the Eucalyptus forest and down to a small creek which is a treat for mini bushwalkers.
If racquet sports are more your style, there’s two full sized tennis courts available so you can teach the kids to play or finally perfect that backhand! These are available on a “first-in-first-play” basis and have lights on until 10pm.

Imagination Factor
Grande Park Springfield Lakes goes big on imagination factor with a massive playground that’s jam packed with interesting features. The toddler playground is bright and colourful with different levels, shapes and nooks which makes it ideal for pretend play.
The central slide mountain provides a great opportunity for story telling with a variety of climbing options and its height above the rest of the parklands offers a contrasting perspective. A section of the playground also contains giant letter blocks, dice and spots, giving the illusion of being in a board game that brings an aspect of interactivity.
The picturesque setting also encourages a sense of exploration with a network of pathways leading throughout the bushland, promoting a nature play style. Further to this, the learn-to-ride track is not only a great environment to practise road safety but also a great space for budding cyclists, racers and drivers.
Accessibility features
The playground has wheelchair accessible toilet facilities located near the park entrance. Several picnic shelters are scattered throughout the parklands and are all connected by a concrete path network which is pram friendly too. The playground is fully fenced and partly shaded by shade sails. The sporting courts are also fenced providing a buffer between the courts and surrounding bushland.

What We Thought of Grande Park
Grande Park Springfield Lakes ticks a lot of boxes especially with its size and variety of equipment plus we certainly appreciate a fully fenced playground! The facilities are of a great standard and will more than satisfy active Brisbane Kids and their families. Elements of the playground could be described as well loved but this doesn’t detract from the playability or impact safety.

Hi,
Would you mind including addresses for all the parks, and possibly driving time from CBD and direction. I think many people will find that helpful. Many thanks, keep up the great work!
