The Paddington Skate Park, next to Suncorp Stadium, was one of the first street style parks built in Brisbane and for this reason has enjoyed a long run as the premier inner-city skate park to ride.
Paddington Skate Park
Paddington Skate Park’s open design, which ebbs and flows around a central, shady tree and variety of obstacles gives it broad appeal right from confident grommets looking to test their skills all the way up to more seasoned skater boys and skater girls.
In mid-2017 the final touches to the council’s two stage upgrades were completed (reported to be worth a total of $1.18 million), which included refurbishments to the original park as well as the introduction of more obstacles.
The newer concrete is now very smooth and fast with a green colour scheme that suits the natural surroundings. The main sections of the park include the large bank, the fun box in the centre (with a good combination of sloped and flat rails) and the new 5-foot-high, square-shaped bowl at the end.
There is seating available for spectators on the large, concrete stairs at the southern end of the bowl however a BYO chair seems to be the more popular and comfortable choice.

Other nearby facilities, including Neal Macrossan Park
The skate park is joined by various other outdoor facilities, which makes this a go-to space for active, urban families.
We particularly love the Neal Macrossan Playground’s eclectic mix of equipment, from the brightly coloured helicopter and boat to the fully shaded, wooden ninja-style climbing course.
All the listed facilities are within the one fenced area that keeps little adventurers safe and gives parents and carers peace of mind.

How to Get to Paddington Skate Park
Paddington Skate Park is located at 113 Caxton Steet, Paddington QLD 4064.
On-street parking is available on the surrounding Moreton, Chrystal and Caroline Streets. Keep in mind that as the skate park is located right next to Suncorp Stadium it is subject to Lang Park Traffic Area restrictions during game days.
Public transport is another option, with bus and train stops conveniently located near Suncorp Stadium at Milton and Roma Street Station however, this could prove a bit impractical with bikes, scooters or skateboards in tow.
