Coorparoo skatepark is a popular destination for skateboarders and scooter riders. It boasts a variety of challenging street-style obstacles suitable for riders of all levels, and the surfaces are decorated with eye-catching graffiti artwork.
The park contains various elements, such as banks, rails, blocks, and ledges. Additionally, there is a small steel mini-ramp and a funbox. The concrete surface of the park is smooth and well-maintained, providing a great surface for tricks and stunts.
The smooth ride of the 20-foot metal half-pipe is perfect for skateboarders who want to showcase their skills and creativity. With two distinct heights, this iconic structure provides ample opportunities for riders to impress.
The Common Park
Adjacent to the skatepark is a scooter track/pump track. This course circles the nature play area and consists of smooth flats and various challenges including banked turns and rollers. With options to avoid the obstacles, it is suitable for younger Brisbane Kids as well as more skilled riders.
The playground area is best suited to toddlers and primary school-aged children. The connected forts include a slide, swings, a small flying fox and a ground-level café window. Plenty of spring riders and dizzy sticks will entertain children who love to bounce and spin.
A nature play area lies between some trees and is surrounded by the scooter track. Logs and stepping stones provide a fun way to traverse the space while working on balance. There are pebbles, sticks and leaves to get creative with within this environment.
Aside from the tranquil atmosphere, this park is also a hub for recreational activities. It boasts a basketball half-court, a well-equipped gym for fitness enthusiasts, and shared pathways that are perfect for bike riding. Enjoy the open grassy spaces perfect for throwing a frisbee or playing ball games with friends for a more laid-back activity.

What We Thought of Coorparoo Skatepark and The Common Park
We thought this park was a real treasure. We loved the mix of play and sporting options available in the one location.
The scooter track was a big hit with my four-year-old as it was a great mix of smooth flats and challenging obstacles he could choose to engage with or ride around.
I had no trouble finding parking on my visit but, due to its location I imagine parking could be difficult during busy times.
