I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. One of the nicest ways to start a lovely family Sunday is by getting up bright and early and visiting one of these amazing Sunday markets in Brisbane.

Brisbane and the surrounding areas have a wonderful array of markets to explore, where you can stock up on a bounty of farm fresh produce, browse handmade, artisan products, or sit back and enjoy delicious food while watching the bustle of eager shoppers pass by.

Whether you’re looking for fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, breakfast, coffee, or a buzzing atmosphere, you can find it all in and around Brisbane.

Here’s our list of the best Sunday markets to visit.

Brisbane City Sunday Markets

Riverside at the Gardens Market

Where: City Botanic Gardens, Corner of Alice Street and Albert Street, Brisbane City

When: Every Sunday, 8am–3pm

The Riverside Markets are located in the stunning  City Botanic Gardens and have been operating for over 30 years. The markets specialise in arts and fashion, international foods and coffee. They also have live music which creates a lovely, happy atmosphere. Enjoy breakfast and shopping at the markets, then explore the gardens and allow the kids to let off steam at the newly refurbished playground.  

Brisbane City Botanic Gardens

South Bank Young Designers Market

Where: Little Stanley Street, South Bank, Brisbane

When: First Sunday of each month, 10am–4pm

You can shop from 80 rising stars at this lovely Sunday market offering a range of fashion, jewellery, art, homewares and more. Showcasing the work of up-and-coming designers, this market is the perfect place to buy gifts and new outfits.  

Suitcase Rummage

Where: Reddacliffe Place, Brisbane City

When: First and third Sundays of the month, 12noon –5pm

This is a mini market with a twist. Vendors bring their goods in suitcases to sell everything from clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, artwork, books, vintage wares and more. Come and ‘rummage’ to find a bargain.

The Collective Markets

Where: Stanley Street Plaza, South Bank

When: Every Sunday, 9am–4pm (also open on Friday and Saturdays)

Visit this great market for original art, photography, fashion, arts and crafts, jewellery, food and even live music. This is a great place to potter and find unique gifts. Plus it’s right next to South Bank Parklands, Streets Beach and the awesome Riverside Green Playground.

North Brisbane Sunday Markets

Eat Street Northshore

Where: 221D Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton

When: Sundays, 4pm – 9pm (also open Fri & Sat 4pm – 10pm)

Eat, drink, shop and relax at the popular Eat Street Northshore markets. Although a small entry fee is required, visitors can enjoy live music and entertainment, whilst devouring some of the many tasty treats on offer, including American, Asian, vegetarian and seafood.  

Bardon Market

Where: Corner Baroona and Rainworth Roads, Bardon

When: Sundays, 7am–12 noon

This community market sells fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, meat, baked goods, drinks, coffee and gifts and is a delightful way to start your Sunday morning. 

Milton Markets

Where: Milton Green Complex, Cribb Street, Milton

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

This is a foodie, farmers and lifestyle market. With over 140 stalls it covers a wide variety of products, including farm fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, seafood, eggs, and arts and crafts. There is also live music and activities for the kids. 

North Brisbane Vegan Market

Where: Toombul Shopping Centre (upstairs), Toombul

When: Sunday (once a month), 9am–4pm

Specialising in tasty vegan food, this market held at Toombul Shopping Centre also features cruelty free shopping. You can even bring your dog along!

Jan Powers Farmers Market – Mitchelton 

Where: Blackwood Street, Mitchelton

When: First Sunday of each month, 6am–12 noon

This is one of the popular Jan Power’s Farmers Markets. It offers fruit and vegetables, cooked foods, meats, freshly baked breads, fish, flowers and more. 

Northey Street Organic Farmers Market

Where: Corner Northey and Victoria Street, Windsor

When: Every Sunday, 6–11am

This market sells certified organic produce, including fruit and vegetables, breakfast, smoothies, coffees, dry foods, bread, eggs, cheese, meats and more. It also offers ethical gifts, jewellery and clothing.

Nundah Farmers Markets

Where: Station Street, Nundah

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

Head to this farmers market for breakfast, freshly roasted coffee, produce, meat, seafood, eggs, herbs and spices. You will also find plants and flowers, arts and crafts, gifts and homewares. Conveniently held in the Nundah Train Station carpark, this is an all weather market. 

Old Petrie Town Markets

Where: Dayboro Road, Whiteside

When: Every Sunday, 7am–1pm

For markets mixed with local history and charming scenery, visit Old Petrie Town. Fresh fruit and vegetables are on offer as is gourmet foods, arts and crafts, jewellery and entertainment. When you have finished explore the grounds at Old Petrie Town and visit one of the onsite museums. 

Redcliffe Markets

Where: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe

When: Every Sunday, 8am–2pm (Dec – Feb 7am – 1pm)

This is a beautiful beachside market where you can get farm fresh produce, lovely foods, arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing, toys and handmade items all while having stunning water views and sea breezes. 

Satori Organic Farmers Market

Where: 198 Seymour Street, Sandgate

When: Every Sunday, 7am–11am (Wednesdays 7am – 11am)

This market features seasonal, local produce from spray free and organic producers. You can also get artisan breads, and produce from local makers and artisans. 

South Brisbane Sunday Markets

Mt Gravatt Markets

Where: Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, 1644 Logan Road, Mt Gravatt (enter via Broadwater Road)

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

This long running market  at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds on Sunday’s provides a large variety of fresh produce, flowers, plants, bric-a-brac and more at over 200 stalls. Please note there is a small $2 entry fee for adults, with children under 16 years admitted free. 

Cleveland Village Farmers Market

Where: Bloomfield Street, Cleveland

When: Every Sunday, 7am–1pm

This market has been running for over 30 years and features over 70 stalls selling products such as fresh produce, food, bread, arts and crafts, flowers, clothing and accessories. It also has entertainment so it’s great for a family morning out. 

Global Food Village

Where: Croydon Road, Woodridge Station, Logan Central

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12noon

This is a multicultural food market with over 100 stalls, featuring local and exotic fruits and vegetables, and authentic street food from around the world. 

Manly Creative Markets

Where: Little Bayside Park, The Esplanade, Manly

When: Every Sunday, 8am–2pm

This lovely market with a cool vibe, has been operating since 1991 and sells fruit and vegetables, food, baked goods, arts and crafts, plants, coffee and more. It also usually has kids’ rides, entertainment and a dog wash. 

Redlands Coast Collective Markets

Where: Faith Lutheran College, Beveridge Road, Thornlands

When: 8am – 12 noon, usually 2nd Sunday of the month (every two months)

Support the local community at this boutique market selling everything from toys, arts and crafts, handmade goods to vintage clothing. Markets goers can snap up a bargain, browse unique wares or perhaps grab a coffee. You can even bring your dog, perhaps treating them to something from one of the dog stalls.

    Brisbane River Market at Karana Downs is very family and dog friendly with lots of quality stalls and great food choices. Try it out 4th Sunday of every month
