Located around an hour’s drive from Brisbane at Allenview. The Towri property consists of 300 acres of scenic rural land. In this peaceful country location, a group of local Scenic Rim farmers come together for the Towri Growers Market on the first Saturday of the month.

Suppose your family needs an escape from the city or the suburbs. In that case, this lovely market is more like a picnic destination than a farmer’s market.

In fact, bringing a picnic blanket is a great idea, but if you forget yours, grab one from the basket near the entry as the wide open lawn invites you to take a seat and enjoy the cruisey sound of live music.

Several quaint tables and chairs, most under shade umbrellas, are provided throughout the garden.

At the market, you can purchase dairy products, eggs, vegetables, honey, sheep’s cheese, and meat directly from the farmers. A collection of local makers also offers an assortment of beautiful handmade items.

Lawn games are placed around the garden to entertain the kids. There is also a pen of sheep and a few baby goats ready to receive gentle pats. Sheep milking demonstrations also occur at 10 am and 1 pm.

What We Thought About Towri Growers Market

We had a pleasurable experience on our visit to the Towri Growers Market. The warm sun, fresh air and wide open spaces were very calming.

My little Brisbane Kid enjoyed frolicking in the garden and fooling around with the lawn games. His highlight, however, was devouring an ice cream purchased directly from the dairy farmers. I enjoyed one as well!
