Located north of Brisbane, at the entrance to Bribie Island, Sandstone Point Hotel has marked itself as a firm favourite among families. Beautiful dining spaces, stunning views and generous play spaces are just some of its many highlights.
What’s On The Menu?
For the Parents
With a location that boasts views over the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay, the menu at Sandstone Point Hotel is heavily influenced by the locally available seafood and is a venue that was well deserving of its title as “Hotel of The Year – Metropolitan” in 2021.
With the bar/cafe menu offering affordable light bites such as toasties, wraps, quiches, baguettes and an array of freshly baked goods it’s an easy place to drop in with the family any day of the week.
The extensive restaurant menu though may be hard to go past with everything you may want and more on offer. Steaks, seafood, pasta, pizza, burgers and salads – its all there and it all looks delicious!
The famous Oyster Shed is yet another option if you are after some casual, outdoor fish and chips. Dine in or take away options are both available for this and the menu can be viewed here.
For the Kids
The kids menu at Sandstone Point Hotel, for children 10 years and younger, is reasonably priced and provides favourites such as chicken nuggets, spaghetti, pizza and fish but also offers kids something a little fancier.
Allergy Free Options
There are gluten free options peppered throughout the menu – just let the waiter know of any dietary requirements you may have so they can aim to cater for all.
Kids Play Options
Ok, so seriously, where to start?? Yes they provide drawing material, but that is the last thing your kids will be asking for once they start to explore what is on offer.
This place was built with the whole family in mind and kids will be completely besotted with all that has been created for them at the Sandstone Point Hotel. Outdoors, but fully fenced, is an amazing playground, available for kids to enjoy daily. The climbing castle is designed to look like an outback farm, with rainwater towers, windmills and sheds.
Along with acres of grass for kids to run free on, a jumping pillow and soccer nets there is really is anything the team at Sandstone haven’t thought of.
Indoors you will find an internal playroom which includes a big screen TV and games for older children.
