Sandstone Point Hotel Playground

This charming, rustic playground invites children to explore and play. The wooden structures, water tank towers, bridges, twin slides, swings and large jumping pillow bring the playground to life while the natural surroundings and well-established greenery create a serene environment for adventure.

A farm theme runs throughout with a climbing wall on a barn façade, a windmill tower and stables with riding equipment. Little ones will enjoy rocking on the cow and chicken springers and whirling on the tyre merry-go-round. A dry creek bed is also included and runs underneath a wooden bridge.

The large jumping pillow provides pure delight as kids playfully leap and bounce. Sand surrounds the pillow for those who enjoy digging and sculpting. Overhead, a large sail provides shade to this space. Adjacent, are wooden stepping logs and a balancing beam.

The playground is fully fenced, with a couple of bench seats inside for adults to sit and chat. Outside the playground are ample tables and chairs undercover, however most of the play area is out of sight from there.

Surrounding the playground is a vast lawn that allows children to run, play and have fun. This unfenced area opens up to the waterside, so take a wander past The Oyster Shed, along the Jetty that sits atop Pumicestone Passage. From the Jetty, vehicles can be seen crossing the Bribie Island Bridge. Be sure to keep little ones close as the Jetty only has one handrail.

Indoor Games Room

In addition to the playground, an indoor air-conditioned arcade Games Room is located next to the dining area. A self-serve payment machine makes gaming easy, and kids can try their luck at clawing a prize, racing motorbikes, playing soccer or taking on the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

The Games Room is easily accessible to the playground, so the kids are conveniently kept busy at one end of the building.

Imagination Factor at Sandstone Point Hotel Playground

The natural surroundings, and rustic playground create a playful area where kids can freely use their imagination. The wooden deck allows kids to dance and perform, while the bridge may see some Billy Goats Gruff appear and the stables open to farm and horse play.

Accessibility at Sandstone Point Hotel Playground

The playground is located on the outside of the Hotel and has access points from the Games Room, and outside of the building. The playground is pram and wheelchair friendly and the Hotel has spacious accessible toilets, and change table facilities.

The Hotel is host to special events and festivals year round, so check their event calendar to see what’s on offer. Some of the events can draw lots of people and the venue can be bustling, so keep this in mind when planning your visit.
