Sports for tweens and teens
Playing a sport is one of the best hobbies a teenager can take up. It is fun, social and physical. It is also a great way to make friends and develop teamwork skills. Rock Climbing and Abseiling
Rock climbing and abseiling make great hobbies for older kids as they are not only more adventure based with a hit of adrenalin, but they are also great for fitness, confidence and problem-solving skills. Disc Golf
Disc golf is an activity rising in popularity, combining elements of traditional golf with frisbee. Players aim to complete each hole on the course in the fewest throws, using discs that serve as golf “balls”. Instead of hitting a ball into a hole, players throw the disc toward a metal target known as a “basket”, which has hanging chains to catch the disc. With courses all across Brisbane, mostly set in big recreational parks, this is a great way to get the teen outside!
Reading
I know what you are thinking but we declare reading a perfectly acceptable hobby for teens and tweens. If you want to add a social aspect, think of book clubs (online or in person), author readings and book fairs as the perfect social extensions.
