Riverside Green Playground nestled within the South Bank Parklands enjoys glorious views of the Brisbane River. It boasts modern equipment, including several slides, towering climbing structures, swings, and a play zone explicitly designed for toddlers. With plenty of shade, picnic tables, barbecues, and a grassy area, it’s an idyllic spot for everyone to unwind and delight in fun-filled activities.
Riverside Green Playground at South Bank
This impressive playground scales great heights. The main rope-based climbing structure and Skywalk are visually striking. They will test personal limits and invite children to view the world from a different perspective.
Take the multi-person wide slide to the playground’s lower level and discover a spinning supernova ring and mouse wheel. You’ll also find more climbing options covering an inclined rubber wall, including belt bridges, rock climbing holds and cliff climbers.
Little ones, meanwhile, can climb aboard the Calypso, a boat-shaped fort in the toddler play zone. Climb the rigging, or take the stairs to the upper deck, where river views make the perfect place for your little Brisbane kid to set sail while at the captain’s steering wheel. Then, slide back down, peek through a porthole or rest on the mini swing.
The park is illuminated by night lights, adding magic and excitement to a late-afternoon or evening play at the park.
Riverside Green Playground Imagination Factor
This playground will likely inspire a Peter Pan-style adventure, with a pirate boat and a skywalk resembling a treehouse. Children can engage in imaginative play by fighting off make-believe pirates, keeping a lookout for potential danger from high above in the treetops or lurking crocodiles in the water below. They can also scale the wall or use the ropes to return to safety, allowing their creativity to run wild as they become explorers, princesses needing rescue, or even spies on the run.
