  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to do…

The Best Kid Friendly Bike Tracks in Brisbane

Crestmead Park – Crestmead

Crestmead Park

Crestmead Park features a lovely, shady traffic setup for children learning to ride. What you will love most about their course is the use of actual traffic signs (many other playgrounds have miniature versions). Crestmead Park also features a popular skate bowl, toilets, and a cool playground with swings.

Crestmead Park is located on the corner of Gimlet Street & Royena Court in Crestmead. You can read our detailed review of the playgrounds and skatebowl at Crestmead Park.

Timberland Park – Algester

The kid friendly bike track in Timberland Park is huge and so is the perfect place for those first moments without training wheels. Kids can enjoy negotiating the mini roads and learning the road rules from the street signs they come across. The park also features a fun fort playground but is unfenced with no toilets.

Timberland Park is located on the corner of Basswood Street & Satinash Street in Algester. You can also read our detailed review of Timberland Park.

Grande Park – Springfield

If you have a little one learning to ride, they will love the road markings, traffic lights, stop signs and other signage on the kid friendly bike track at Grande Park. Benches nearby mean you can sit back and relax while your little ones explore this fun driving area on their bikes or scooters. There are also some lovely recreational pathways for anyone on wheels to get around the beautiful green areas of this park. Grande Park also features a fenced playground, toilets, BBQ facilities and plenty of parking.

Grande Park Springfield is located 40 Grande Ave, Springfield Lakes. You might also be interested in reading our detailed review of Grande Park

Grinstead Park – Enogerra

Road signs and pedestrian crossing at Grinstead Park learn to ride facility.

The already super cool and spacious Grinstead Park got a whole look cooler at the end of 2020 by adding an amazing learn-to-ride track. The bike track is perfect for young Brisbane Kids who are learning to navigate their wheels, whether it be a scooter, balance bike or bicycle.

Surround by plenty of grass and not near roads, the track is flat, except for the humps, and includes a variety of road signs, crossings and a roundabout. A play petrol pump and covered picnic shelter complete the space, with nearby toilets, massive playground, nature play area and heaps of green play space, making Grinstead Park a super fun day out for the whole family.

Grinstead Park is located at 130 Shand Street, Enogerra. For further details on this awesome park read our detailed review of Grinstead Park.

Kalinga Park – Clayfield

mini traffic course kalinga park

Learn how to ride in this leafy inner north Brisbane Park. The roundabout is a unique feature, as is the signage being on the road itself, just adding to the challenge. Kalinga Park also features an incredible fort-style playground, toilets, BBQ and an extensive riding track for more experienced riders.

Kalinga Park Clayfield is located at Bertha Street at Clayfield. This is one of Brisbane’s best playgrounds so read our extensive review first to make the most of your day at Kalinga Park.

Raby Bay Esplanade Park – Ormiston

Raby Bay Esplanade Park features a 200m-long bike, scooter and riding circuit installed nearby.  Follow the concrete pathway towards the secluded bay lookouts and beaches, and you will find this impressive addition, which includes jumps, traffic signs, road markings, turning lanes, roundabouts, ditch rides, rest stops, speed humps and more. The wider playground also boasts an impressive playground, water play area and toilets. Read the detailed review of Raby Bay Esplanade Park.

Kidspace – Chermside

bike tracks for scooters

The mini traffic tracks at Kidspace Chermside are separate from the playground and loop around Marchant Park. Signposted and with fun inclusions like speed bumps, you can see why this is a popular learn to ride park. Kidspace also boasts an incredible undercover fort playground, toilets, BBQ facilities and lots of space for a picnic.

Kidspace is located on the Cnr of Murphy Rd & Newman Rd Chermside. Before heading here, you should read our review (including photos) of Kidspace Chermside.

Flagstone Adventure Park – Jimboomba

Flagstone Adventure Park at Jimboomba has a lined child friendly bike track around their incredible adventure park. While it isn’t as signposted as other mini tracks, it still has a left and right lineage to help teach kids biking etiquette. The Flagstone playground and waterpark are extremely impressive and the park features toilets, BBQ spots and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the day.

Flagstone Adventure Park is located on Trailblazer Drive, Jimboomba. Read a detailed review of Flagstone Adventure Park.

Springwood Water Tower – Springwood

Springwood Water Tower is a water reservoir that has a massive concrete space for active families.

There are roundabouts, give ways, stops, pedestrian crossings and T intersections.

It is a fantastic area to learn to ride a bike or enjoy riding around and around. Children can imagine they are real road users, practising the road rules and navigating the streets. Or they race from one end to the next. Read the Springwood Water Tower Review.

Pallara District Park – Pallara

mini traffic track at pallara

Pallara District Park features a fun 190-metre bike track complete with speed humps, street marking, a bridge and signage. The park also features a fantastic playground, fitness area and toilets. Read the Pallara District Park Review.

Plantation Place Park – Wellington Park

Plantation Place Park

Tucked away within the back streets not far from Wellington Point lies a little gem called Plantation Place Park. Complete with mini petrol and train stations, ticket booths, road signs and parking bays, plenty is here to keep the kids entertained for hours, and it is one of the best places to scooter in Brisbane.  It also features a small bicycle slalom and mini scooter/bike ramps and corrugations, while the wider park includes a shady playground with a rope bridge and climbing course.
