  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to do…

Things to do on Easter Sunday in Brisbane (2024)

Last Updated: April 2, 2024
Easter bunny at Victoria Park

Easter is such a special and magical time for kids. The Easter holidays, however, can be a bit more of a challenge for adults! Finding fun things to do to keep the kids entertained (and not going completely bananas) for two weeks while our usual activities are suspended and schools are on holiday can be difficult. Fear not though, because we’ve pulled together so many ideas of things to do this Easter to make your day awesome and memorable!

Things to do on Easter Sunday

There are loads of great Easter events happening in and around Brisbane, and lots of places to visit that are open this Easter Sunday, the 31st of March 2024! Here are our top picks for places to go on Easter Sunday for a whole lot of family fun.

Trains, Sciencentre, playground, displays and more! | The Workshops Rail Museum

Good news for any train-loving Brisbane Kids and their families – The Workshops Rail Museum will once again be open on Easter Sunday 2024!  Created for anyone who has an interest in locomotives, the museum quite regularly has feature holiday programs that are interactive and fun for kids of all ages.  Check out the Sciencentre, displays and vintage trains and afterwards the kids can enjoy the indoor playground too.

Fairy Tales Exhibition and Children’s Art Centre | GOMA

If you are chasing a little bit of culture with the kids this Easter Sunday then a trip to GOMA in South Brisbane could be the perfect way to spend your Easter Sunday.  Currently, their main exhibition is Fairy Tales – although be warned, this has been reviewed by many as being a little dark for younger audiences. Their delightful Children’s Art Centre though has two hands on and interactive art activities that kids can immerse themselves in for both the Natalya Hughes and Jakkai Siributr exhibitions. You can find out about both of these here.

Jurassic World by Brickman | Queensland Museum

What kid doesn’t love a good mix of LEGO and dinosaurs!  More than two years and 10,000 build hours have gone into the creation of Jurassic World by Brickman, making it the biggest exhibition The Brickman team have ever created. eaturing large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made from over 6 million LEGO bricks, you can walk amongst realistic models, enter a baby dinosaur enclosure and even get hands on with creations. Tickets are required for this event. Find out more here Jurassic World By Brickman – Brisbane Kids

James and the Giant Peach  | QPAC

Based on a book written by Roald Dahl, the bold new theatrical adaptation of James and the Giant Peach is a theatre event your kids will not want to miss. Join James and his collection of curious critters on an enchanting, great escape direct from his backyard, soaring high across the world, from Dover to New York and back again. Bursting with magic, mischief, and mayhem at every turn, James discovers that the best friendships arise from the most unexpected encounters and a little courage can take you a long way.
