Here is a cute Halloween decoration you can whip up with the kids.
You will need:
- Paper, the thicker the better
- Paint
- Googly eyes, and anything else you’d like to decorate your garland with
- String
- Scissors
- Sticky tape
How to make a spooky garland for Halloween
Step 1
Spread a thick layer of paint on a plastic plate or other easy to wash surface and let the fun begin!
Step 2
Using the paint, make hand and footprints onto your paper. Make sure you have some old rags handy to clean up as you go!
We made around 20 prints, which was more than enough for a wall length garland. The kids would have been happy to keep going though!
Step 3
Set them aside and allow the paint to dry.
Step 4
You can either cut them out now, or after you have decorated. We glued the eyes on, cut them out then finished off with pre-stick foam pieces and marker pens. We left about a half centimetre border of the background colour around each one.
Step 5
Attach to some ribbon or string using sticky tape. We’ve used silver gift ribbon.
Step 6
Once you’ve attached several prints to your ribbon your Ghosts and Ghouls Garland is complete! Hang it up on the wall or across the room for Halloween to really set the mood!
