Little Gems Child Care & Early Learning Centre is located in Albany Creek, behind the Radius Medical Centre, on the corner of Old Northern and Keong Roads. Operation hours are 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, closed only for Public Holidays.

About Little Gems Child Care

The Service has eight rooms which promotes a spacious, warm and inviting environment for all our children at the Service. The rooms consist of:

6 weeks to 15 months – Caterpillars
6 weeks to 15 months – Glow Worms
15 months to 2.5 years – Fireflies
15 months to 2.5 years – Lady Bugs
2 years to 3 years – Bumble Bees
2.5 years to 3.11 years- Butterflies
3 years to 4 years – Dragonflies
3 years to 5 years – Grasshoppers

What is included in the fees at Little Gems?

The Little Gems Child Care & ELC provides morning, lunch and afternoon tea using the company Kids Gourmet Food, who specialise in providing nutritious, high quality super foods. The centre provides nappies, sunscreen, and all children on enrolment receive a Little Gems hat and shirt.

Extracurricular activities at Little Gems

Little Gems offer extracurricular activities each week, including:

Tuesday – Happy Feet with Miss Angie
Wednesday – Dance Along with Miss Shelley
Thursday – Ginger Sports Soccer with Miss Nat
Friday – World Kindy Tennis with Miss Liz

All extracurricular activities incur an extra cost that is payable to the companies directly.

Approved Kindergarten program

Little Gems Child Care and Early Learning Centre offers an approved Kindergarten program with 2 Bachelor qualified teachers in the room. The staff work closely with the schools to ensure they are delivering a program that enables the children to be school-ready when they graduate from Kindy.

iChild

The centre uses a digital based program called iChild to record all of the children’s learning, photos and routines. Parents are able to see in real time what their child has been up to each day by logging in using their smart phone, tablet or computer. The centre also uses iPads to sign children in and out daily.

High quality childcare in Albany Creek

Little Gems recently went through rating and assessment in May 2015 and received a “Exceeding” rating in six out of seven areas which gave us an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. Staff strive everyday to continue to offer high quality care to all of children and families.
