At Home Family Day Care Scheme is assisting Families with their child care needs in the Redlands, Brisbane and Logan City Suburbs with their office situated at Tingalpa, Queensland.
What is family day care?
Family Day Care provides small group settings, with Educators being able to care for a maximum of 7 children a day; being 4 under school age including their own, and 3 before and after school. This requirement gives children more opportunities to build strong relationships with their Educator and other children in the service, more flexibility for excursions and community involvement, more one on one interactions with great benefits to children and particularly those that may need extra assistance.
Family Day Care and the Early Years Learning Framework
Educators use the National Quality Framework to guide their practice, using the Learning Frameworks of The Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being and Becoming and the School Aged Care: My Time Our Place. These frameworks outline practices that support and promote children’s learning from birth to 12 years and guides early childhood Educators in developing quality, early childhood education programmes.
Well supported educators
At Home Family Day Care’s Coordination Unit is very dedicated in supporting their Educators on an individual basis. They work closely with Educators to determine their professional development needs to assist, educate and resource them empowering them to operate successful home child care businesses that offer quality Education and Care and provide the best outcomes to the children and their Families. As a smaller service, the Coordination Unit is able to spend quality time with the Educators; not just making sure they are following the Legislative requirements, but also building professional relationships. This also allows the Coordination Unit to sit and interact with the children, getting to know them, their interests, and their Families.
