Types of Holiday Activities
Active Kids offers a wide range of free sessions to appeal to all different types of kids.
For the sports obsessed there are a variety of classic sporty sessions including cricket, AFL, soccer, netball, NRL, hockey and tee-ball. Kids can learn the basics, practice their skills or develop cool new tricks.
Adventurous kids who are keen to do some exploring can try orienteering, a guided bushwalk or zoom through some of Ipswich’s best reserves and estates with mountain biking sessions.
If your kid loves water based recreation, sign them up for some fishing or canoeing along the Brisbane River.
For the high-energy kids looking to go a little wild, there is circus fun where they’ll learn new tricks like juggling, balancing and hula hooping. There’s also kid friendly bootcamps or athletics sessions where kids can run off some of that energy.
Or, if you’re looking for something with a slightly slower pace, kids can enjoy yoga or birdwatching.
There’s no limit to the fun they can have, and kids are welcome and encouraged to be involved in as many sessions as they like during the school holidays!
