The Dancing Paintbrush is located in the beautiful suburb of Cashmere, north of Brisbane. It was formed to enable all students, regardless of their age, to have fun, learn, and create wonderful artworks for only $25 per class. And it’s casual – you pay on the day! Classes are held every Saturday during term time in a safe outdoor setting overlooking a pretty forest area.

Whether you wish you were creative or feel you need to push yourself to the next level or build your portfolio, look no further! The Dancing Paintbrush offers art lessons for everyone – young and old, from beginners to advanced.

Everyone is creative

The Dancing Paintbrush was created with the desire to help everyone learn and improve on their creativity and technique, regardless of their age. They have children as young as four, retired adults and everyone in-between attending their classes. Often, they have parents and children join together for a fun family activity. The Dancing Paintbrush believes that everyone has some form of artistic talent and they will help you to develop it. These classes are small, fun, and relaxed.

Originality is the best artistic expression

The Dancing Paintbrush’s classes are structured so that they have a different subject and medium for each week – some examples would be palette knife painting of flowers, making a clay gecko, or doing a mixed media painting of your pet. Since they do not run a “step-by step” program, not one artwork is produced to look the same. Instead, each person is encouraged to create their artwork in their own style after watching the instructor show them a technique or two and explain what needs to be done and how to do it. The instructor then assists everyone individually to get started and assists throughout the two-hour class.

Flexible pay on the day payments

The Dancing Paintbrush understands that life can be challenging at times and their aim is to make the classes as fun and stress-free as possible. Therefore, they have a casual pay-on-the-day system for classes. This means that if you (or your child) wakes up ill on the day or had a bad night or perhaps you are really not “feeling it”, you can just notify the studio that you won’t be attending. If you have already paid, they will simply reimburse you or roll the money over until you can attend again. Classes can be paid for in cash on the day or into a nominated bank account any time beforehand. No lock-in contracts!
