Testimonials

Let's Dance Academy QLD happy group of young dancers with parachute.

I took my daughter along to Let’s Dance Academy’s open day. We received a very warm welcome from Miss Taylor, who was amazing at getting down to my daughter’s level and welcoming her into the class. We tried a little sample of each of the dancing styles, and my little one had a ball. Miss Taylor was incredible at getting all the children engaged and participating in the dancing, resulting in lots of smiles and fun amongst the group. We have enrolled in Jazz and cannot wait to get started in Term 2!” – C

Miss Taylor has made such an impact on my life and still inspires me to this day. When I go into classes I am always thinking of the wisdom she would share. I am incredibly grateful for her teaching, classes, and the guidance and support Miss Taylor has given me to follow my dreams and to keep working and improving as a performer and a person.” – L

Testimonials

I cannot rate Shilleena’s Dance Academy highly enough. This is my daughter’s 9th year and apart from the fact she loves the dancing, Shilleena and the teachers have done amazing work in improving her self-confidence. Brilliant!” – Larissa

Yesterday we had the Theatre Rehearsal for the dance concert in a couple of weeks… my daughter had such a blast and was in her element, but more importantly I was so very impressed by the community I found myself in. Not only was I in the company of such talented dancers and performers I was quite taken aback by the how powerful, strong and hardworking the community of young women around me were. I really felt like I was in one of the most inspiring environments I had been in for some time. I am very happy for my daughter to have these amazing women as some of her role models.” – Alice

I feel very lucky to be a part of this wonderful and supportive dance school. My daughter started dancing in her mid-teens, and I started as an adult, and we have both had nothing but support from the amazing teachers at Shilleena’s. Everyone ensures our classes are about fun as well as learning. I have met some wonderful people and look forward to going to dance classes. The teachers go out of their way to ensure everyone is happy and getting the most out of their classes. I recommend Shilleena’s to anyone who mentions they are looking for a dance school because I know their experience will be a positive one.” – Vicki

Testimonials

A.D.I Dance Studios young dancers at barre.

My daughter is currently only half a term into Lyra/Lyrical with A.D.I Dance Studios but already her confidence has grown, and that “sense of belonging” already resonates with A.D.I. Since day one my little one has felt at home in the studio and aside from her weekly classes, all she does at home is practice. In the past we’ve always struggled with her throwing the towel in when things get a little difficult and you betcha, week two she was unable to perform a move on the hoops and immediately started getting upset… the only difference is this time we were at A.D.I. The teacher sat with her for a moment, supported her and then pushed her to try again with her help. Since this brief moment of one-on-one support, Lily has been pushing herself more and more every session and the respect for her teacher is through the roof. This type of support isn’t something you can just find anywhere, it’s passion and love for what they do and honestly, it’s amazing seeing my daughter growing that same passion herself. Every single person I’ve seen at A.DI, from students, parents and staff are respectful and have been so welcoming. I couldn’t recommend A.D.I any more highly.

This studio isn’t just a dance school. It’s not just a place to learn to dance. This studio is a family, a place where everyone can call a second home. All the students here truly encourage one another and support one another. I’ve never encountered such genuine love and encouragement, especially from the older students towards the younger, future children of dance. The teacher’s here genuinely encourage and are invested in each and everyone who attends this studio. There isn’t one student who hasn’t improved after enrolling or attending workshop at this studio. The teachers at A.D.I Studios have the expertise and experience, but more than this, they genuinely love and have the drive and want for everyone who comes here to be the very best they can be.

Dance provides young children an opportunity to develop coordination, strength and control. Tuning into sound and music also develops their perceptual capacity and cognitive processing. These skills are all essential for healthy growing and development.

Dance goes beyond physical activity; it enhances sensory awareness and non-verbal communication, particularly beneficial for young children who may find it challenging to articulate their emotions. It serves as an inclusive and expressive form of communication, boosting confidence levels. Children learn dance in a creative way such as splashing in puddles and shuffling like a penguin during tap time.

What parents say about Ready Set Dance:

My son loves doing hip hop, squishing bugs in his tap shoes and having a whole lot of fun without feeling dance is just for girls. Ready Set Dance has made both my children more independent and much more confident socially.” – Jade, Upper Coomera

The imagination, storytelling and use of props gives our children the opportunity to learn and grow in a fun environment. My daughter always leaves class with a massive smile on her face and asks the next day if she can go to dancing again.” – Keira

Ever since my child has been doing Ready Set Dance, she has made so many friends. It’s really special being able to see the biggest smile come over her face when I drop her off to class. Having the opportunity to perform with her on stage was an awesome moment I won’t forget.” – Kai
