Tricky kids are always welcome at Lavelle Hair. The team are mums themselves and understand that not everything always goes to plan. They’ve also spent time engaging with Autism Qld to understand sensory processing differences and are pleased to offer sensory appointment options.
Lavelle Hair also has a vibrant playroom located adjacent to the salon and available for all clients to use! The room is full of toys suitable for children of all age and complete with a lounge chair for feeds or relaxing! Netflix is also available for use to keep your children happy and content during your visit.
Lavelle Hair’s sensitivity to special needs
Lavelle has a private room, if preferred, which can be used by families, friends, groups or for medical and religious reasons. Whatever you need to make your visit to the salon more comfortable.
All staff are trained in Mental Health First Aid and they are proud to hold a place on the QLD Domestic and Family Violence prevention honour roll.
All team members have completed courses in sensory processing differences through Autism QLD.
The salon is very excited to announce that they will be completing their Auslan language course in February 2021!
Private Room
At no cost to their clients, Lavelle Hair’s unique private room can be used for many purposes, including ‘work from home’ days, group gatherings such as hens, mothers’ groups or family and friend appointments. Professional discretion and sensitivity are assured for clients requiring particular attention due to religious or medical needs.
This room is a haven for those living with sensory issues, as well as being an ideal space for babies to snooze while Mum and Dad are pampered.

Lavelle Hair is a waste-free salon – everything from your hair to the foil to the chemicals is recycled, reused or repurposed through Waste Free Systems.
The salon uses and recommends Australian made and owned, vegan certified, products from DeLorenzo Haircare.
Lavelle Hair is pleased to offer donations to support local causes and encourage you to contact them if you know of an opportunity where they could help.
They have a rotating visiting artist program which allows emerging artists to use their wall space to exhibit their work.
