Dino Encounters offers a range of packages to suit all budgets and venues:

Baby T-Rex Pack (recommended for ages 2+)

Dino Encounters’ smallest package is designed for your littlest learners who might be overwhelmed or intimidated by a full-sized show featuring a fully grown dinosaur.

Your dinosaur wrangler and their baby Tyrannosaur will keep the kids entertained with music, games, and stories; all the while teaching them about dinosaurs in a fun and easy-to-digest format.

Triassic Pack (recommended for ages 3+)

Best suited for events in parks and open spaces, the Triassic Pack is Dino Encounters’ entry-level experience for meeting a fully grown dinosaur! Your dinosaur wrangler will introduce the audience to Rusty, their 14-foot Deinonychus. This big beastie is intelligent, playful, and will thrill audiences of all ages. Hear her roar, and make sure to take lots of photos while she’s on the loose! Included in this package are games focused on dinosaur hunting behaviours to keep energy levels high and brains active.

Jurassic Pack (recommended for ages 3+)

The quintessential Dino Encounters experience! This package is jam-packed with activities for a memorable prehistoric party. Lasting 90 minutes, the Jurassic Pack begins with a 30-minute educational performance featuring two of their baby dinosaurs and their resident clever girl, Rusty the Deinonychus. Following that is a series of activities teaching the basics of geology and palaeontology: carnival games, fossil dig sites, and an exploding volcano! The baby dinosaurs and Rusty each make second appearances for more hands-on interaction and a mini dinosaur disco.

(Some assets included in the Jurassic Pack require access to electricity, and minimum space requirements apply. Please keep this in mind when choosing a venue for the Jurassic Pack.)

Add-ons

To cater to tighter budgets, Dino Encounters offers elements of larger packages to be added onto smaller shows. Choose from several experiences including fossil dig sites, carnival games, and baby dinosaurs to be delivered in addition to your package by their on-site performers.

Prop Hire

Looking for something specific without booking everything but the kitchen sink? Dino Encounters has a range of props available for hire to enhance events, photo shoots, film projects, and displays at showgrounds. Please be sure to check prop availability before booking.

Party Favours

In addition to their entertainment packages, Dino Encounters also offers premade party bags. Their party bags (your choice of standard or premium) come stuffed with an array of Mesozoic goodies, delivered right on time for your party and with thank-you cards signed on behalf of your birthday child. Simply add the party bags to your booking and they’ll take care of the rest. Inside the bags are stamps, stickers, sliding puzzles, torches, erasers, and more! (With no lollies inside, you can rest assured that these won’t add to the sugar hit).

Special Events & Festivals

Dino Encounters’ staff are flexible performers who can perform for two kids as easily as two hundred. If you want to add some dinosaur goodness to an event like a school fete or street party, make an inquiry with the Dino Encounters office and they’ll do their best to suit your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book Dino Encounters if I’m holding my party at a park? Of course! Dino Encounters recommend either the Baby T-Rex or Triassic Pack, but as long as they have access to electricity, they can even bring you the full-blown Jurassic Pack! Just ask them about details.

What if I change my mind about the package? No problem. Just give them at least 14 days’ notice for package alterations and Dino Encounters will do their best to accommodate a change of plans, if staff availability permits.

What if it rains on the day of my booking? Due to the sensitive nature of their equipment and the safety of their performers, Dino Encounters cannot proceed outdoors in heavy rain. They will be happy to work with you to reschedule your booking or change the package to suit your circumstances.

Parachute, giant ball, limbo, hula hooping – the list of options is almost endless! Physi kids can even mix it up and do a bit of sport and then some awesome games. Beat the heat in our Aussie Summers by adding water play to your party. Your instructors bring the guns and spray the children as they play. This is at no extra cost!

Great for kids aged 3 to 6 years.

Games Parties contain all the fun of a Physi kids class and more! Your instructors will bring all of their favourite games to a venue of your choice, and totally exhaust the children! Options include:

Sports Parties

Great for kids aged 6 to 12 years.

Want a sports specific party? No problem, you can choose from soccer, AFL, rugby league, hockey, cricket, basketball, tee ball, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics and athletics. What kid, or adult doesn’t want to clock their kicking speed with our RADAR GUN?! Games also include:

• A game of tiger tag to warm up
• Golden Child – this is a game with a giant ball, (ball matches the sport of your choice) and the relevant goal/post
• Rubber chicken games
• ‘Longest kick’ competition
• Jumping sack races

And if requested, Physi kids can referee a mini game of the sport of your choice! They can even provide coloured bibs and split the children into two teams.

Novelty Party

Great for all ages.

Do you have wonderful childhood party memories? Would you like to see your own child having the same fun you did with some original and awesome party games from the ‘good ole days’? Jumping sack races, three legged races, eggs & spoons, tug-o-war, red rover. You can also choose to add in rubber chicken games, parachute games, and giant ball games. Choosing a venue

For a games party with children aged 6 years and under, Physi kids recommend a minimum space of about 6m x 6m.

For a sport specific party, the more space the better! Physi kids recommend a park, or somewhere everyone can really run around for this type of party.

How much are Physi kids parties?

A party with 1 hour of games and a gift for the birthday child is priced as follows:

• Up to 10 children $200
• Up to 15 children $240
• Up to 20 children $280

If there are more than 20 children expected, then a charge of $10 per child over this number will be incurred.

Kindy Parties

That’s right, a party at kindy is the no fuss affordable party option!

Kindy parties with Physi kids comprise a 30 minute Physi kids class at your child care centre, where your whole class is invited! They are held at your kindy at a time that suits the teaching staff, and can cater for up to 30 children. The birthday child will even receive a free gift!

Kindy Sports Days

Physi kids can run a fun sports carnival at your child care centre!

Jumping sack races, three legged races, egg and spoon races and games to suit – book the Physi kids team for as long as you like:

• 1 hour / 1 instructor = $200 + GST
• 2 hours / 1 instructor = $300 + GST

Party ‘bag’ option

Physi kids offers a great alternative to the traditional party bag, and the team will bring these with them on the day of the party:

• For $5 per child, guests can receive a Physi kids drink bottle, which works as your packaging for a lollipop, Physi kids sticker and Physi kids pen

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the coaches and what qualifications do they hold? All of Q Kids Sport’s coaches have relevant experience in coaching kid’s sports teams and/or hold teaching/coaching qualifications. They are also first class in providing fun! For your piece of mind, you can be guaranteed that their staff hold a valid blue card (safe working with kids) and first aid qualifications.

What age group are Q Kids Sport’s parties for? Q Kids Sport can provide super awesome parties for kids in Prep to year 8. They tailor the games and activities to appropriately to suit the age group involved.

Where can I hold my party? Q Kids Sport can operate at Council-owned areas, with prior approval needed from Council. They will seek the relevant approval, so you don’t need to worry. Once you contact Q Kids Sport, they can share some of their favourite locations.

Does Q Kids Sport have invitations we can use? Yes, Q Kids Sport can email you print at home (or Officeworks) invitations to hand out to your party guests.

Home Laser Tag Parties are a great idea for some kids’ party games to add some spark to your boy or girl’s birthday party. Let’s face it, kids love games as part of their party and the team at Laser Tag in a Box has been making kids happy for more than 15 years.

Different Laser Tag party games suit kiddos of different ages:

Kids’ Home Laser Tag Parties for Ages 6 to 8

If your child is turning 6 or 7 or 8 then they’ll love some fun laser tag party games at their birthday party.

With “Party-in-a-Box”, you can rent a laser tag set of 8, or 12, or 16, etc.

The way it works is the red team versus the blue team.

Everyone gets 5 hit points. When the kids have been tagged 5 times they run back to base camp. Included in each rental pack are two “medic” boxes, one for the red team and one for the blue team. Place one medic box at one end of the garden, and the other up the other end of the garden.

The kids just need to stand near the medic box for a few seconds and the computer will re-activate their tagger. Then they run back into the game for a bit of “pay-back”.

At the end of the game (usually 10 minutes), just check each medic box to see which team has the least number of re-activations to determine which team has won the kids’ party game.

This game is called the “Elimination” game.

Kids’ Home Laser Tag Parties for Ages 9 and up

If your child is turning 9 or 10 or 11 (or even older!), then add a new element to the fun by including a ‘Game Box’.

For this age group, Laser Tag in a Box recommends an “Awesome-Party-in-a-Box” + a “Game Box”.

Again, the laser taggers come in sets of 8, or 12, or 16 etc, or even more!

The secret to an unforgettable party is to really entertain the kids aged 9 and up with lots of fun and active games to play at their party.

One of the most popular games to play is called “Capture & Hold”. In this game you place the Game Box in the middle of wherever you are playing, say the middle of your backyard. Players still get 5 hit points. As well as tagging each other they also need to tag the Game Box. This encourages teamwork and tactics! 

The computer inside the Game Box times how long each team is in control. When players on the red team shoot the box, it flashes red and when gamers from the blue team tag it, the box flashes blue.

At the end of the game (usually 10 minutes, but you can decide how long you’d like each round) and say the blue team had it in control for 7 minutes, then the computer pauses everyone automatically and the box itself will flash blue.

The Game Box even has au uber-cool sound effect which announces “Blue Team is Victorious!”.
