Area 51 Brisbane – Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just turn up and purchase tickets at the counter? Due to some sold out sessions, you are highly encouraged to book online, rather than walk in, to avoid disappointment.

Do adults/carers/parents need to purchase tickets? Adults who are spectators or non-participants are free, whilst adults who wish to play on the equipment will require a ticket.

I’m a companion of a customer with special needs, do I need to purchase a ticket? Companions of our customers with special needs, will receive a complimentary ticket.

Does Area 51 Brisbane offer refunds? All Bookings are non-refundable. Please refer to their terms and conditions for more info.

Can I reserve a table for my family or friends? Yes. Area 51 Brisbane has three large round banquet tables that can be reserved inside. The banquet tables seat 10 people and have a minimum requirement of $100 on platters per table. These must be booked and paid for 7 days prior to your booking. The general tables inside Area 51 cannot be booked and are on a first in first serve basis.

Can we bring in our water bottles? Yes. Refillable water bottles are permitted inside Area 51. They also have a water fountain located near the bathrooms for patron use.

Can I wear my own grip socks?  No. Area 51 Grip socks are mandatory. If you have previously purchased a pair from Area 51, you can re-use these. You do not need to purchase a new pair every time you visit.

Do I have to sign a waiver? Yes. Area 51, is dedicated to creating a safe environment for participants. However, as indoor play areas and associated events are inherently dangerous, it is their requirement that all participants sign our waiver. Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver filled out by their parent or legal guardian.

Wizards Adventure – OWL TASKER

Suitable for ages 12+. For single players or for teams up to 6.

Something went terribly wrong while travelling and you now find yourself in Samford Village with no money and no way to return home! If you’re clever enough you might just be able to earn enough coins to purchase the use of a teleportation device that is leaving in exactly one hour. Use the Owl Tasker App and get paid for magical jobs posted by wizards and witches all over town. A little bit of strategy, teamwork and smarts will go a long way in this adventure which is like no other!

Wizards Adventure – SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Suitable for players up to 12 years (must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older). For teams of 2 to 6.

Before the train departs in one hour, you need to purchase everything on your school list. To do this, you must visit each location as chosen by the schools headmistress, Professor Dorothea Lynch. You will be provided with a map of the village, a school list containing six items, and a magical device that will help you. Birthday Parties at the Hologram Zoo!

Reserved table at the Rainforest Restaurant

First off, you will have a reserved table at the Rainforest Restaurant, where you can set up any decorations you desire. This restaurant has holographic scenes that play while you and your guests are at the table. If you would like food to be provided, the Rainforest Restaurant also serves food that you can order with the birthday party menu.

Choose your location

Locations that the zoo have released include Australia, Asia, Africa, Arctic, North Pole Santa experience, and Dinosaurs, with even more locations releasing most school holidays. Within these locations, you go through the following activities multiple times:

• There is a 20 metre holographic tunnel, where you walk through exotic locations, admiring the life sized animals that roam around you. These animals will also to come out of the screens and float right in front of you to get up close and personal.
• After that, you go through the Holographic Enclosures where the holographic animals project upwards from the ground towards you. These enclosures project real depth, so it will look like you are peering down into another world.
• Another attraction is the Holographic sky roof. In this area, you walk below a holographic ceiling where giant creatures walk on top of you. This experience feels like you have shrunk right down, with some animals appearing much larger than in reality.

Is it scary? The zoo is suitable for people of all ages, and is designed to be enjoyed by everyone.

Can we come in early to decorate? Absolutely! The Hologram Zoo staff love seeing creative parties at the Zoo!

Can we bring our own food? Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own food, or you can order from the Rainforest Restaurant menu.

Can I still book if I do not have confirmed numbers of guests? Absolutely! When you book your party, book for the maximum number of guests. That way, you can be sure that you will have room for everybody! The deposit remains the same price for all bookings.
