Within a one and a half hour drive from Brisbane, in the tropical hills of Northern NSW near Mount Warning, you will find Hosanna Farmstay. Located between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay, this family friendly farm stay has the best of both worlds – proximity to the beach and city, whilst still enjoying the benefits of healthy rural living. Hosanna is a great place for families, as kids have so many fun things to do while parents can just relax.
Accommodation & Camping at Hosanna Farmstay
More and more people are discovering that camping on the large size powered and unpowered sites at Hosanna is great because of all the facilities for kids to enjoy themselves. For those who don’t enjoy ‘roughing it’ camping, the Lakeside Cabins or Glamping Huts at Hosanna Farmstay are a wonderful alternative! Accommodation types can cater to up to 5 people, and include access to a massive outdoor kitchen that has all the equipment you may need. Plentiful fridge space, an oven, microwave, BBQ and all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery are provided, but, if that wasn’t enough, all herbs and spices are also provided. You can additionally purchase fresh eggs and dairy products from the farm shop.
Fun Activities at Hosanna
When the kids have fun, parents can have a holiday too! To start the day, the kids can join the team feeding the animals and milking the cows every morning. The dam with diving board, pontoon and kayaks provides endless fun for young and old, with all equipment included! At night, build a campfire and don’t worry – the kids will sleep like babies after a full day of country fun!
For a small additional cost, the Farm Tour is a must! Alex, the owner, loves driving through the creeks and the rough with a group of people while explaining everything there is to see on the farm. Visitors can get up close to the herd of cows and visit the big chicken coop and vegetable garden.
Hosanna Farmstay Facilities
The many facilities on offer at Hosanna Farmstay suit all interests and include a simple playground, a jetty and netted pontoon for access to the lake, a BBQ hut, sauna and multifunctional hall. The farm staff are also always on hand to be of service – they pride themselves in being flexible and lending a personal touch to the farmstay.
When can we go back?!
In the end, it’s the kids opinions that are most convincing – they want return again and again! The kids love to help with the running of the farm – helping to get the cows in, or looking after the baby rabbits. They’ll never forget seeing the baby chicks hatch from their eggs or the first time they jumped of the 3m diving board. Not to mention bouncing around while the old Landrover splashes through the creeks. And, of course, there’s nothing better than sitting around the campfire with friends!
Fun is simple: it requires space and nature. And Hosanna Farmstay has it in spades!
