I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. Combining fresh country air with farm animals and a list of outdoors activities that kids will love, farm stays are a one of our favourite Brisbane holiday ideas for big families. With many offering on-site houses or larger cabins at a reasonable price, swapping city for country could be the answer to all your larger family holiday prayers. Below are a few farm stays we know will cater for bigger families.

Hosanna Farmstay

Located in the Tweed Valley, Hosanna Homestay is only a short 1.5 hour drive south from Brisbane. The best part? Their lakeside cabins and glamping huts can cater for up to 5 people, and include access to a massive outdoor kitchen that has all the equipment you may need. If you have an even bigger group, their homestead can happily cater for up to 20 guests at a time!

Worendo Cottages is a family-run business with a strong attention to detail. Their cottages are extremely well-appointed and have all the comforts you would expect for a relaxing and enjoyable break. There are great onsite activities including animal feeding, fishing, lawn games, hikes, but you do need to set aside some time to go slow and simply enjoy being in this environment and with each other.

Moreton Island, Fraser Island and Stradbroke Island all have fantastic accommodation options that will easily fit a family of 5 or more in comfortably. Stradbroke Island and Fraser Island

Moreton Island

The flora and fauna here are mesmerising, with some dating back 150 million years, and there are 42 kilometres of walking tracks in the tranquil surrounds. The area is also home to many holiday houses, chalets and cottages that easily cater for families of 5 or more.
